Development Engineer -
A professional engineer, Amy has been working in the renewable energy sector in the Maritimes over seven years, with the majority of her time spent with Natural Forces; a privately-owned renewable energy company with its head office in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Natural Forces have been in business since 2001 and are one of the pioneers of the wind energy industry in Canada’s Maritime Provinces.
As a Development Engineer with Natural Forces, Amy has been instrumental in the successful deployment of 10 wind energy projects throughout Nova Scotia and British Columbia and is currently managing the development of 2 large-scale energy projects in New Brunswick, both of which will start operations in 2019 in tandem with a large-scale solar project in Saskatchewan in partnership with several First Nations.
Amy’s focus and expertise are in permitting, real property, stakeholder consultation, project financing, and due diligence. The qualities that make Amy succeed in this challenging and competitive industry include strong attention to detail, tenacity, and passion.
Although Amy has travelled throughout Canada, she is always drawn back to the Maritimes where she was born and raised. Her roots in Dartmouth had an important impact on her choice to study Engineering at Dalhousie University and to remain in Nova Scotia to start her career.
Amy is also a Director with Wind4All Communities II Inc. part of the Wind4All family of CEDIF companies.
