The 11th annual Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum will be held at:
JW Marriott Marquis Miami, Florida
October 16 – 18, 2019
The Maritimes Energy Association is pleased to lead the Atlantic Canadian delegation to CREF 2019, in partnership with the Atlantic Trade and Investment Growth Agreement and Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
Through the last decade, CREF has become the place the Caribbean energy market meets - governments, utilities, multilaterals and investors all explore opportunities to ramp up investment in clean energy across the region.
We are seeking expressions of interest from companies and organizations in Atlantic Canada to attend an Atlantic Canadian Trade Mission to the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) in Miami, Florida from October 16 - 18, 2019. As a new value add option for 2019, Delegates will have the option to add on a delegate pass to the Blue Economy Conference, a one day pre-CREF event held in the same venue on October 15, 2019.
The Atlantic Canada Trade Mission Program will include:
Pre-Mission Workshop/Webinar and In-Market Briefing Delegates will attend a pre- mission workshop/webinar approximately two weeks before departure that will cover topics such as cultural business preparation, regional energy overview, and points to consider when deciding to export to the Caribbean. An in-market briefing will be held on location in Miami on October 15 in the evening to go over final meeting preparations, what is expected throughout the conference, a refresher view of the topics covered in the webinar and answer any last-minute questions.
Conference & Exhibitor Registration – One full conference pass will be provided per company for this mission. This will allow access to the exhibition, all CREF sessions (except the E-Mobility Roadmap Workshop & island Resiliency Challenge – delegates wishing to attend this add on event should register separately once they receive their badge confirmation) and admission to all networking events, including coffee breaks, lunches, and cocktail receptions. Any additional passes can be purchased through The Maritimes Energy Association at a discounted rate. Delegate companies wishing to attend the Blue Economy Conference will also have the option to have one pass included in their registration, additional passes may be purchased for subsequent delegates from The Maritimes Energy Association.
Matchmaking Consulting Service and Secretariat Room – The services of a business matchmaker will be provided to identify your goods and services with potential buyers, pre-arrange B2B meetings as well as networking opportunities through company briefings and potential networking events. A room at the conference hotel will serve as the mission headquarters and host the b2b meetings. This has been repeatedly identified by past delegates as the most valuable part of the mission.
NEW Mission Networking Event – We are working to plan an invitation only Networking Event sponsored by the Nova Scotia Department of Energy and Mines, more details will follow.
Atlantic Canada Booth –Atlantic Canada will have a presence on the Trade Show floor in collaboration with the Canadian Trade Commission Service Delegation, and Atlantic Canadian Trade Mission participants can display company information, business cards and spend unscheduled time in the booth as one way of meeting with potential partners and clients. Small product demonstrations and displays will also be accommodated.
Company Profile in Booth Booklet –An information brochure with all attending Atlantic Canadian companies, profiles, contact info, logos and general information on the industry will be produced as a hand out for attendees.
